After 4 long years, I finally picked up my squash racket!!! Played squash with Sarah and Bugsy today at the squash courts at YCK. My squash racket has been in cold storage and the grip totally flaked off....super gross!!
My hands were blue and dear Sarah helped me make a temporary grip using toilet paper! haha, I think I played horribly and my stamina is reallyyyyyy bad as compared to the past. I can't even last for like half an hour! Imagine, in the past, we had to train for like 3 hours 3 times a week! What happened to me?? :(
Anyhow, it feels really good to work out and my arm feels a little like jelly now! I feel so inspired to be fit again! I am gonna buy a new grip... and I am gonna restring my tennis racket! :) Can't wait for the next squash session!!:)

I have just filed for graduation! Wow! I can't imagine that it's my last semester in school. 4 years of college life is coming to an end... You know, if you think about it, we spend a damn long time at college! Back when I was in Texas, I was talking to Jessica and she said that friends you make in college are friends for life... And that people seldom kept in touch with their middle school or even high school friends. That to me was quite surprising because Manyi and I felt that in Singapore, most people are friends for life with their secondary school (middle school) friends... Even back in Secondary school, I remember teachers telling us to cherish our secondary school friends because they will be people that we will remain close to for life... And I am sure you have heard from many people that friends you make in Jc/uni will not be as good as friends you make in secondary school.

this is my first post in 2009. haven't got to writing my new year wishes/resolutions or even to conclude 2008...so i guess maybe i will do it now... i just spent the whole evening clearing out my drawer... and now everything is much neater..not that i couldn't find anything before.i realized that even when my stuff are all over the place, i sort of always know where everything is... i guess i have what they call an organized mess. :) so the first of my new year resolutions will be to keep my room neat and tidy!! A really mean feat for me. :(
2nd resolution will be to work hard for my Japanese lessons... i have been so lazy after JLPT... either missing classes or an hour late for class... not been handing in my homework too.. sooo lazy.
the next will be to save money for my grad trip with sam!! i have been diligently doing my accounts, and i think if i don't shop or eat out all the time, i would be able to save enough (barely) for our trip..so AZA AZA!!
and also another resolution is to work hard in schoolso as to graduate with a nicer looking cap score....
LAST resolution now... which actually matters quite a lot to me, and yet has never been achieved..which is to be healthier and to LOSE WEIGHT.but i don't really know how to go about doing it...and im just not disciplined enough... but i don't want to be fat anymore :((( have been fat for the past 6 years? it doesn't feel good. I also want to be healthier!! I think both should come hand in hand.. healthier diet= lesser fat=lose weight....so GANBARIMASU!!

Yes in just about 1.5 hours, i will be on the plane towards Macau International airport! Took the mrt to the airport just now and it was pretty cool..it was the first time i took the mrt with a suitcase but it was amazingly convenient! there were loads of people going to the airport via public transport too!
so happy my luggage weighs only 12 kg so i have abt 8 kg allowance! i tried to pack as light as i could!!! i hv seriously learnt my lesson after last year.. haha. anyways, i will be back on the 26th morning at 12.05 a.m!! so see ya guys when im back!:) i will be checking my mail as and when so if you need anything, feel free to email me or text me k! :)

Went to renew my PDL with min just now and then Ubi Central. Was at Shop and Save where I bought kinder bueno.... been craving for it... then I went to the value shop on a whim because yunzi raved about it a few days ago...
And I came home with all these:
Tom Yam Tao Kae Noi, Arnott Stikko, Arnott Blueberry Tartlets, 3 bars of Kinder Bueno, Twisties, Hot and Spicy Meow Meow.
Thought it could last me maybe a week... but by now, I have eaten HALF of all these crap! GAH!! i am soooo greedy :( And on top of it, I had ice cream just now too!!! |

livejournal's layout is so cute today. so halloweeny... ahhh, i miss halloween in the US!! it was so fun to go shop for halloween stuff(even though i didnt buy anything)! all the cute witch hats, weird and funny stuff... and nice to hang out in the huge halloween stores that only open during the halloween period! (weird!) and having people dress up in their costumes to school.. Jon told us that in one of his classes, the prof gave bonus marks to those who went to class in costumes!! that's so fun right! some people in my class dressed up too. i remember there was a mad scientist! and i think my favorite was this girl who dressed up as a life-size barbie! she made a pink box with a plastic flap!very awesome.
haha i remember manyi and me took photos with spiderman!! :D there were two of them, the black spiderman and the normal one! and they were climbing on the roof. haha.
i wish i can go do something fun for halloween but ugh school. was super stressed out today when i realized that have to upload the ppt slides for 4101 on friday. think i felt my heart stop for a full minute. i think i am so stressed till my period came super early! i am having my period again, twice in a month. -_- very duh. haha actually i forgot what i wanted to blog about. so im just rambling. oh! the weirdest thing happened to me and candice on orchard just now! haha ok back to work. |

i hate it when i eat something really hot and scald my tongue. hate the sore, rough and scratchy feeling on the tongue after that! grrrr... i was too greedy la! anyways, school's been a bitch. and i really feel tired. been sleeping on average 5 hours everyday. sooo much work to do. ;( i can't wait for this semester to be over, seriously. 4 more presentations, 3 more group papers to write and 2 more individual papers to write!!! ugh. all these work in the next 3 weeks. its disgusting. i hope i survive. thank goodness for sam, candice and chai. they keep me sane. driving test is approaching too. i am really nervous. ;/
finally met up with rux after like 1 year of not seeing her! went to timbre with ching, corinne and rux on friday! was really fun!! wish i wasn't so sleepy!! was surviving on 4 hours of sleep and my eyes were like as heavy as rocks. but have to say that the lead singer was really good!!!:D And of course the best thing was the company. :) the crazy girls dedicated happy birthday to me? lol. so paiseh. thanks babes haha
anyways, saturday was so awesome! went to the xtreme swing after work with fad, nab, suze and romeo. think that's one of the best part of working at ducktours, getting onto all these touristy stuff for free. haha the swing was sooooo scary, i swear! its definitely an experience of a lifetime! everyone who isn't too afraid of heights should definitely try it!! i could see the singapore flyer from the top of the tower! that was how high the tower was. my palms still get sweaty when i think about how i was suspended in mid air for that few seconds. lol.
felt super sian after project discussion today,so i went to fep with candice and sam. sam and me did "hair extensions" :D i love my purple hair! i wanna add more strands !!!i think its so awesome that you can do so much to your hair nowadays without dyeing your hair or growing it!! wigs, extensions... lots of possibilities. We also met candice's aunt who has a really awesome pushcart at level one and she gave us this really cool hair thing that keeps your fringe out of your face! very very 神奇.:) Thanks candice's aunt!
ok, im gng to bed now because theres gonna be 2 very grueling project meetings tomorrow. and i still haven't prepared for presentation on tuesday. drats. |

eeeeps. I think I have rheumatism in my pinky finger. I don't know if this is possible??? but my little finger really hurts..especially when it started raining just now!!! I am snacking on sour cream and onion chips now... and i snacked on chocolate just now! *roars* i am eating more than doing my essay! And my tum tum hurts!:(
I hateeee Nm4213. Sigh, really regret taking this module but it's not like I had any choice in the first place. Just have to "咬緊牙關" and get done with this paper and then i will be much much freer for other frivolous pursuits. haha. And I am really addicted to the word challenge application on facebook. It's so fun!!! I don't understand how people can score 30000+!!! I am only getting like 14000 even when I try my very hardest!!
Went to JB with my family today...every JB outing with my mum is a highly stressful experience(though not unenjoyable lah). My sister told me at the end of the day,"I feel as tired as if I have been touring for 3 days." HAHAHA. My mother is a super kanchiong kinda person. Everything must quick quick quick.... Very stressful indeed. And she is such a worrier! "Where is your father?" "Where is your sister??" "Where is your passport?" Haiyoooo.
I bought 2 Japanese drama series today. It was super cheap! Original leh, not pirated. haha! 9.90 RM for 1 set. Really happy I found the Rikon Bengoshi that Tamayama Tetsuji starred in. I watched some episodes before on TV and I really liked that series..and that was where I discovered Tamayama!!! <3 Wanted to buy the 24 hours emergency room because I remember Sam talking so much about it.. but didn't because they only had malay subs for that. Haha lucky I found out...if not I will be like -__- when I try to watch it.. haha!! I still need subs when watching Japanese doramas..And I definitely can't read Malay subs!! haha! And I got my floppy ribbony BOW TIES!!!! HAPPIEST. :) Been looking for it high and low ever since the last time I saw it in JB...
Ok lah, need to go do paperrrrr. :(

my head is still throbbing.... i am never going to pull an 'almost' all nighter again!! i slept for 2 hours and was awake for more than 36 hours yesterday...and till now, i am still feeling kinda wonky! yesterday was crazy..project meeting for almost 14 hours. and after toiling so hard, i still can't rest! i have japanese test on sunday,presentation on monday,a mid term test on tuesday and an 1500 words essay due on thursday..and thats not the end of it! feel like there's neverending things to do... :((( thankfully, my project mates were awesome and we had fun together. :) ugh, can't believe we had to work so hard for a 10%project. so annoyed that participation in class is 20% and this presentation is just a mere 10%. it doesn't even make sense!!! |

I AM SOO TIRED. my feet is still aching after standing for almost 12 hours today, only able to sit down when i had my lunch and dinner, and when some guests were very kind to ask me to take a seat. work today was tiring!!! i hate to work full day shifts. it isn't so bad when it's just 8 hours or 4 hours because time passes rather quickly. but 12 hours just doesn't pass as fast as you will want it to. and i talked nonstop for like the whole day so my throat kinda hurts toooo. :( drank so much water too!!!
work today was rather interesting though. i met two Spaniards and they were soo cute, telling me how everything in Singapore is so new, and how every building in rome are like thousands of years old. that sounds totally amazing. they make me wanna go to europe so much! like barcelona, rome, paris, london. :) and the lady was asking me about the fashion scene in Singapore and whether we change our style of clothes, and what trends do we follow? because in spain, they change their clothes with the seasons, and if its summer all year round, do we just wear the same things all year round?? sigh, the discussion about all the clothes make me so envious of their 4 seasons!
also met another guy from florida who gave me a $10 tip! so happy lah, settled my lunch and dinner for the day. so today is pretty good. most of the guests were really nice. :)
the tour guide who is super zai in Japanese took my cruise again today and i was just so intrigued by how good her japanese is. she speaks really fast just like a native japanese. so when i was talking, i wasn't really listening to myself but listening to her translate stuff i said into Japanese. hope i didnt say anything wrong.. i really hope one fine day, my japanese can be as zai as hers!! i understand everything she was saying but i can't speak as fluently as her! she's my idol man!!! you know, i don't really care if i can't speak french or italian or arabic or anything, but i really feel sad when i can't speak well in Japanese because i've been learning Japanese close to 3 years now. sigh.
and i am thinking of taking up Spanish!! I wonder if anyone is interested to learn it with me? but not now la... i've got too many things to handle now. work, driving lessons, japanese lessons, 6 modules in school. i really miss the ME-times.
can't wait for this week to be over. this week is horrendous. i am working 12 hour shifts for 3 days!:( i am even looking forward to the new school semester because of this. haha! at least i dont have to work so much. i think once a week is fine though :) well, even though it's tiring, i really love meeting all these amazing people from all over the world, france, spain, new zealand, australia, usa, dubai, taiwan, china, iran, india, netherlands, london andddddd so much more. the list is inexhaustible. |

wow! lottery for the green card to work in USA! every year, 50,000 foreigners get a chance to LIVE and WORK in america! the best thing is that if you win, your whole family and you get to go to America and they are even providing free air tickets there! so awesome!!!
i wonder if i will win if i took part in it..you know, i have never worn any kind of lucky draw. but if i win this.... well i just checked and i am eligible.. butttt i am not applying luh. still have one more year of college in Singapore ;)

so, first day of work today. had steamboat with the grasses before going to work. it was fun.. i wish i didn't have to leave!!
anyways, i was really nervous for my first tour, but one of the tainers was very nice and she sat in on my first tour and encouraged me a lot!so, the second tour was much better..and i really enjoyed talking to the guests. there was this family from Texas and another from California and I was pretty excited!;)
and i only just realized how 'chui' my chinese is when this chinese guy was asking me about Singapore. OMG, i just felt like digging a hole in the ground and hiding my face. i feel super embarrassed that i can't speak chinese properly. i mean i can speak chinese but i don't know how to say a lot of things in chinese you know. like parliament house etc etc. Felt damn bad.
and my day was ruined by this bitch!! omg. why am i so suay to meet this kinda people on my first day? maybe i was inept at dealing with the situation but she was really a total bitch. Singaporean. that figures yeah? i soooo hate nasty people!! she was all like "i am going to complain...yadayada.."i don't know if she's going to complain but i hope i don't get into trouble. :( OMG BITCH!!!!
and recently, i have been realizing something. that i tend to feel really bad and lousy about myself after i make mistakes. but i think i ought to be nicer to myself. i have to move on and stop dwelling on my mistakes. after all, everyone makes mistakes right?
another thing i realized is that i apologize too much. i realized this a few months back and since then i have stopped apologizing for things that are not due to my actions or me.
hopefully tomorrow will be much better! i feel so tired even though i only worked for 4 hours. :( |

:((((((( my left eye keeps tearing non-stop after i rubbed it really hard just now....
im damn stupid!!! it hurts a little and i keep tearing, it's super annoying!!!
my room is lighted up in a soft orange hue now because i received a pretty lamp from yunzi today! thanks darling :) it's rather timely too cuz the orange light doesn't hurt my eye as bad as the overhead white lamp.
and i borrowed 4 books from the library today! SUPER HAPPY!!! :D i am so silly! i forgot that my sister helped me pay my library fines last year when i was in Texas so when i i tried to pay just now and saw that i have $0.00 fines, i was so thrilled thinking the library actually decided to clear my fines. -__- but yay i have something to read and i am really happy about that.
i signed up for thai express membership today so everyone, you can ask me out for thai express!:D wheeeee! 20% off if you ask me out within the next 7 days...rocks!!:D

ok so i passed my assessment for the hippo river cruise last wednesday(lol, i sound so deadpan here but i was really happpyyy that day) and i'm still waiting for work to start...
Feels like forever!!And there's another orientation tomorrow...seriously. my interview was like nearly a month ago. think i can only start working in July due to all the admin paperwork and red-tape but that's okay i guess. i don't mind resting at home some more and i am not done with half of my to-do list for the holidays. i haven't exercised, haven't finished packing my room, haven't brushed up my Japanese... haven't met up with half of the people i wanna meet up with.. booo.
the aggies left last Sunday.. there's 3 of them still in Indonesia but the rest have all flown home. :( it's only been like 5 days since they left but it feels like a really long time already.... it feels just like a dream.... like everything didn't really happen if you know what i mean..
gosh! Luis and Jinesh are such idiots!! I got a call from Luis when I was on my way to the airport at 6 a.m.. and both of them had unknowingly walked through immigrations!!! so i only got to wave bye to them through the glass and all the immigration counters. :( Luckily, we managed to say a proper goodbye to the rest..cuz they arrived later. oh man, i miss them!!
i was feeling super sad on the train back home..and it was a really gloomy and rainy day... so you can imagine.. rain, gray clouds... all the elements of a sad day were present.. furthermore, i wanted to visit lyana at work cuz it was coincidentally her first day at work but i couldn't find her shop. so double boo. terminal 3 is sooo huge!! and the floors are really reflective man.
On Monday, i went with mama to visit gor yi and little baby jacob. :) Looking at mama play with jacob makes me smile from the bottom of my heart because she looks soooo happy when she plays with him. :)
And... i have EIGHT new pairs of shoes and i love all of them!!!! feel so loved. :) million of thanks to gor yi who brought them all the way from bangkok! i don't think i need new shoes for a long, long time. :)
Had driving on Wednesday and it was bad. i finally know why Jiehui said Mr. Neo is fierce. because before that i didn't think that at all. got scolded a lot!!:`( but luckily, by the end of the lesson, i managed to pick up pace... and this lesson, i drove till 65km/h. the fastest by far compared to previous lessons. most of the time i am crawling at like 20-30 km/h. Rachel and I discussed it and we agreed that we totally shouldn't take a nap before driving. ZETTAI. hope the next lesson will be better.. :(
Went to JB on thursday with Manyi, Nadia and Cindy. Everything is SOOO cheap there!!! We had a super yummilicious lunch at Manhattan Fish Market, dinner at Kenny Rogers and watched a movie for 47 ringgit in total which equals to less than 20 SGD!!! <3 Manyi and me were super greedy, gobbling down sushi at the grocery store, cake at secret recipe...and then we still had room for yami yoghurt....Think Nadia and Cindy were quite disgusted by our appetite. haha it was a damn good day. And I think Malay is super useful!!:) I witnessed it when I was in Malaysia..so now I am encouraged to continue Malay 2 next semester.
Met up with chai and manyi yesterday for dim sum lunch and some shopping. i didn't wanna buy anything(as usual) but i still bought something (as usual).but i swear it's the last thing im gonna buy from the GSS. I really really LOVE MY NEW JEANS!!:) YAY for zara sale!!:) It comes in my dream wash and dream cut and dream price too. so awesome! Talking to chai was fun too... She's my most intellectual friend ever. lol. Took the nel back with her because she lives in Serangoon.. awww. i really miss taking train rides back with friends on the nel line.... i am really used to staying in ubi already. but the ride home is always so lonely!noone stays in ubi with me. :( |
